SAM ROBBINS “Hard to Hate” Video Premiere via The Bluegrass Situation

On the eve of the release of his sophomore LP, Bigger Than in Between,” folk-pop troubadour Sam Robbins has released the second of three videos, this one, a live acoustic take on fan favorite, “Hard to Hate,’ which had its exclusive premiere via The Bluegrass Situation.

‘Hard to Hate’ is my favorite song from my upcoming album. This song was written and rewritten, reworked and rethought many times. It took a lot of work! The impetus for the song is from remembering all of the people I’ve met through music over the years, and how they always surprise me in the best way when I look a little deeper. I wanted a video that captured the soul of the song, more stripped-down than the original recording, so I headed to The Treehouse in Nashville and we did a one-take, solo acoustic version,” said Robbins.

In the midst of his regular schedule of 150 shows/house concerts a year, Robbins will play the Grassy Hill Emerging Artist Showcase at Falcon Ridge Folk Fest in Goshen, CT (July 29) before heading to Cambridge, MA for the official album release show at Club Passim, August 4th. The new LP arrives August 5.
