Born in McComb, and growing up in Meridian, Hattiesburg, and Greenville, MS, Southern soul singer Afton Wolfe recently joined renown Music & Culture Ambassador of Mississippi, Steve Azar, for his celebrated podcast, In A Mississippi Minute.
As Steve’s song “Mississippi Minute” says, “Life goes by so fast that if you blink, you’ll miss it… but in a Mississippi minute you can take your sweet time.”
Airing each Thursday and Friday from 1 to 2 pm CST (with an encore presentation on Sundays at 10am) via SuperTalk Radio, In A Mississippi Minute is syndicated throughout the state including to radio stations in Corinth, Tupelo, North MS, Golden Triangle, The Delta, Meridian, Jackson, Laurel, Hattiesburg, Southwest MS, Pike County and the Gulf Coast.

Over 54 minutes, the two Mississippians chatted about music, sports and politics. Azar also spoke about his St. Cecilia Foundation, which raises funds for charitable organizations, particularly in the Delta region that aid sick, disadvantaged and abused children. The foundation also supports the promotion and growth of art and music programs within educational and cultural institutions.
Episodes of In A Mississippi Minute are also available for on-demand listening via Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Wolfe’s debut album, Kings for Sale, is available now. This fall, he’ll hit the road with Asheville roots rocker Kevin Daniel.
