KEVIN DANIEL: Tattoo Talk with V13 Magazine

Rising Americana roots rocker Kevin Daniel recently chatted with V13 Magazine for their Tattoo Talk series. In it, Daniel recalls his first tat, his most painful, his craziest, weird or super-memorable tattoo experience and who’s face, if he had to, he would get tattooed (hint: she wore a pair of sparkly slippers and may have clicked them three times).
In total, he has 15 tattoos and counting. A few include his dog Elma, the Orion constellation, an alligator head, an anchor heart for his mom and yes, a ruby red slipper.
Here’s an excerpt:
V13: If you HAD to get someone’s face tattooed on you, whose would it be and why?
“I love Judy Garland way more than any straight male should. Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie and she’s the star. I would NEVER get anyone’s face inked on me, BUT Judy Garland’s face from Oz is pretty soft around the edges and totally timeless. Her face is definitely on a lot of people’s bodies.”
During his music video for “Used to Be,” Kevin visited Magic Cobra, a local ink shop in Brooklyn, and got the title of the song emblazoned on his wrist.
