Offering a nightly revival that echoes the everyman vibe of Tom Petty while conjuring the gut-busting grooves of Drive-by Truckers, roots rock act Kevin Daniel & The Bottom Line have been added to a series of upcoming festivals including SXSW (5 showcases), Listening Room Festival in St. Petersburg, FL, and Mountain Jam, a 3-day fest curated by Radio Woodstock and guitarist Warren Haynes.

Taking place May 29-31 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y., the site of the original Woodstock in 1969, the 16th annual Mountain Jam includes Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile, The Head and The Heart, Greensky Bluegrass, Margo Price, Grace Potter, Yola, The Band’s Levon Helm, celebrating his 80th birthday, two sets by Haynes’ band Gov’t Mule, and Phish kingpin Trey Anastasio.

Fresh from the band’s first UK tour, the upcoming festival appearances and tour dates will see Daniel showcase material from his critically-acclaimed debut album, Things I Don’t See.

Since its release last fall, Things has been a critical darling, receiving praise from Relix Magazine, No Depression, Under The Radar, Ditty TV, Radio Woodstock, Blurt Magazine, American Songwriter, Americana HighwaysThe Alternate Root and Americana UK, which christened it ”a beauty worth listening to” while Music Connection championed its “earthy and grounded themes perfect for his raw and soulful, Chris Stapleton-esque timbre.”

Co-produced by Ben Rice (Norah Jones, The Candles, Aoife O’Donovan) and Kenny Siegel (Langhorne Slim, Joseph Arthur, Chris Whitley), the 11-song treatise showcases Daniel’s fluid ability as a songwriter to seamlessly incorporate bits of rock, soul, country, blues, roots and Appalachia into his thoughtful examination of pain and awakenings, visceral and spiritual. The LP’s title track mines these depths with aplomb while “Time To Rise (ft. Shannon Söderlund)” and “All I Need” reveal a path forward.
