RELIX Video Premiere: KEVIN DANIEL “Pour Me A Drink”
April 1, 2019 by 1888media

Emerging Americana artist Kevin Daniel has released the official music video for his new single, “Pour Me A Drink,” via RELIX.
Shot on location at Artefix in Woodside, Queens, NY, the video was produced by Nick Ruggia (Temple Horses) and directed by Ryan Hoffman (with editing by Zach Puls). The ethereal clip co-stars actress/dancer Zena Wood.
Kevin recalls the concept, “I wanted to shoot a video that was simple and really featured “Pour Me A Drink, the actual song, above all else. Zena is a great person and an accomplished dancer dancer and I knew she’d have fun playing the “girl on my mind”. Basically, she’s the manifestation of sorrow for the singer, for the better and worse. Nick and Ryan really nailed the lighting and location, and it was great working with them and their crew. I love this song and I always have fun on set, which I think vibes with uplifting melody of the song, despite its lyrics.”
Song was produced by Ben Rice (Norah Jones, The Candles, Aoife O’Donovan, The Skins) at Degraw Sound in Gowanus and features Anthony Krizan, former guitar player of the Spin Doctors. Erica Mancini threw down some accordion which added a great vibe. Kevin was going for one of those bar songs everyone knows and sings the chorus really loudly at 2am.
Daniel’s debut album will be released this summer. In the meantime, he’ll be playing select shows on the East coast.
