LA Americana duo, Maplewood, featuring singer/guitarist/producer Steve McCormick and singer-songwriter Heather Donavon (Keb’ Mo’, Melody Gardot), have been handpicked to perform at a special benefit for the Henry Miller Library in Carmel, CA.

Presented by Folktale Winery and Vineyards and 805 Beer, with support from KRML Radio 102.1 FM, the concert will take place on Wed, July 12 at the Folktale Winery in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Show time is 7:00 PM (Doors at 6).

Headlining the evening will be local favorite ‘Songs Hotbox Harry Taught Us’ featuring Henry Miller Library director Magnus Toren on guitar and vocals. Rounding out the lineup is rising pop star LOLO, aka Lauren Pritchard, an American singer, songwriter and actress, best known for being featured on the single “Miss Jackson” by Panic! At The Disco.

General Admission tickets are $30 with a limited number of VIP Reserved Seats in the front two rows for $40. Food by Chef Todd Fisher will be available for purchase. For more info and advance tickets, please visit henrymiller.eventbrite.com.

Echoing the intertwined vocal majesty of Civil Wars, Shovels & Rope and Mandolin Orange, Maplewood’s debut album will be released in early 2018.

Half of the duo’s resplendent vocals are provided by Heather Donavon, regarded for her big soulful voice which appeared on Keb’ Mo’s Grammy-nominated album, The Reflection.

Intuitively pairing with Donavon’s vocals is Steve McCormick, an in-demand slide guitar player who’s collaborated with Stan Behrens (Canned Heat, War, Willie Dixon), Eric Lynn, Richie Hayward (Little Feat), Stevie DiStanislao (CSN, Joe Walsh, Loggins and Messina, David Gilmour), Daryl Johnson (Neville Brothers, Daniel Lanois, Emmylou Harris), Eric Heywood (Jayhawks, Calexico, Ray LaMontagne), Dan Ubick (Macy Gray, Will.I.Am, De La Soul), Phil Cody, and Pete Wasner (Vince Gill, Lowell George).

As a solo artist, Steve’s released six albums (The Tripping Years is his new EP) and as a producer, he’s worked with Michael Sherwood, Tom Freund, Phil Cody, and, most recently, Amilia K. Spicer on her Wow and Flutter opus.
