THE WESTERN SCOOCHES Premiere “I’m Gettin’ Married” Video Via RELIX

To celebrate the release of their debut album Very Next Thing, Banjo Nickaru & Western Scooches partnered with Relix Magazine to premiere the music video for “I’m Gettin’Married.”

Staged live at Queens Theatre in Corona, NY, the upbeat track features banjoist Nick Russo, vocalist/dancer Betina Hershey, and percussionist David Pleasant. 

Nick (aka Banjo Nickaru) recalls the genesis of the song, “Betina and I recorded an entire album of ‘real life love songs’ to give to our family and friends as a ‘take home’ gift at our wedding. We wrote ‘I’m Gettin’ Married‘ as a fun song with the lyrics literally describing how we met. I actually learned 5-string banjo for the song and had to really shed for the recording and our wedding!”
