Pledge for KITTEN: A Campaign To Make Heaven On Earth Again
August 30, 2016 by 1888media
Progenitor of ethereal surreal, LA-based KITTEN, led by singer/multi-instrumentalist Chloe Chaidez, are in the midst of raising dinero for album numero two.
Pledgers have the opportunity to get exclusive merch (t-shirt, hoodie, vinyl *including test pressings*), handwritten lyrics, phone calls, Skype calls, liner note credit, cover song (of your choice), custom Remixes (of your song) and signed 7″ vinyl featuring versions of Prince’s “Purple Rain” and David Bowie’s “Heroes.”
Experiences include “Drinks with the Band (Shirley Temples, anyone?),” “Late Night Dinner,” “Tour Guest List/VIP Hang,” “Skype Solo Performance (you choose the setlist!), “Vocal Lessons,” “Personal Acoustic Concert,” “Full Band Concert,” and an offer to obtain “Lifetime Tickets & Backstage Pass.”
There are also Chloe-centric options. Whether it’s a “Private Yoga Class,” “Personal Hearty Vegan Meal w/ Yummy Dessert,” “Shopping/Styling Excursion” and/or a DJ set (Drake not included…except sonically), whatever decision you make is sure to be scrumptious for mind, body and spirit.
In addition to these amazing options, those who Pledge to be a part of the KITTEN fam receive weekly video updates, which often include snippets straight from the studio. One recent update featured a devastatingly gorgeous piano-driven ballad called “The End”.
It’s not the end, but only the beginning of a new edition that will transcend.
The next sound garden of KITTEN is sure to bloom with the fragrance of the beguiling essence of Heaven or Somewhere In Between, which fell on me like a rose that runs wild as it grows. Released in March, it also dazed those at Rolling Stone, who just included it in a treasure trove (Best Pop Albums of 2016).
Heaven’s emo-sheen landed somewhere in between Panic! at the Disco, Garbage, Rihanna, and Weezer.
For every dreamer that’s crucified for casting pearls, we can be heroes just for one day.
I pledged to illuminate Heaven on Earth once again, choosing the Beach Party for twenty (on Sept 10).
Here’s hoping for a RiRi-Selena-Ari medley while I dip my toes in serenity.
