Jazz Tribute To DAVID BOWIE: Lori Bell & Mike Garson

On Friday May 27 at the La Jolla Community Center in San Diego, world-renown flautist Lori Bell will team up with legendary pianist Mike Garson to explore musical ideas on Jazz Standards, original compositions, and a special tribute to David Bowie.

Revered as a musical genius, Garson is an incredibly accomplished musician, most well-known as David Bowie’s pianist and artistic director for over 25 years (he’s featured in the 1973 concert film “Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture”).

Bell is currently celebrating the recent release of her 9th album, the critically acclaimed Brooklyn Dreaming. Joining them will be singer/guitarist Ron Satterfield.

At the crossroads of such improvisational prowess, it’s sure to be an unforgettable evening of musical mastery. Tickets are $18-$25, which include show admission, hors d’oeuvres, and free valet. Doors at 7pm, show at 8 (more info).
