Receiving a special invitation from the WorldArts Performing Arts Center in Culver City, CA, Americana outlaw Sam Morrow visited the state-of-the-art facility to record a 3-song acoustic set, which fans around the world watched live via Periscope.
Utilizing a fully-equipped venue size soundstage, Morrow performed “Green,” “Girls” and “The Deaf Conductor” from his critically-acclaimed sophomore album There Is No Map, once again proving why LA Weekly compared his “modern Alt country” with the likes of Steve Earle and Uncle Tupelo. His grit is legit.
In addition to providing the global Artist community opportunities to showcase at events such as SXSW, MUSEXPO and Sofar Sounds, WorldArts also produces original programming, including the show Transmissions, hosted by industry tastemaker Nic Harcourt, of KCRW & KCSN.
In its inaugural season, Transmissions has showcased Silversun Pickups, Fantastic Negrito, Chicano Batman, Berlin ft. Terri Nunn, and Lucinda Williams.
